Laser tattoo removal works by producing short pulses of light. When used appropriately, the light will pass through the top layers of the skin safely until it reaches the tattoo ink. The light energy is then absorbed by the tattoo pigment, causing the tattoo ink to break into smaller particles. These smaller particles can then be removed by the body’s immune system.
Several visits are usually required to completely remove the ink. The tattoo will fade after each treatment
until complete removal is achieved. Each tattoo is different so laser tattoo removal treatment length is usually dependent on a variety of factors like size of the tattoo, color, location on the body, age of the tattoo, and quality of the ink used.
